Who we are.
Savonije Jewellery, trading as Tegron, the sole proprietorship of Michael Savonije, KvK 89669096, Jacob Catsstraat 4, 5671 VR Nuenen, the Netherlands, is responsible for the details you give us here. We have no data protection officer.
For anything about your details, email hello@tegron.eu and a person answers.
What we collect, and why.
The sample report
When you email us for the sample report, we have your name and email address and whatever you write, so we can send you the report you asked for. Sending it is a step you ask us to take before there is any contract between us, and that is our legal basis for it (the GDPR, article 6(1)(b)). We send the report, and nothing else unless you ask. We delete the request six months after we send the report, unless you became a client or asked us for more. After we delete it, Google removes it from its own systems within 180 days of it leaving our trash, as its data processing terms require.
Email, and booking a call
When you email us or book a call, we have your name, your email address, whatever you write, and the time of the call. We use them to answer you and to prepare the call: steps you ask us to take before any contract (the GDPR, article 6(1)(b)). Afterwards we keep the exchange for twelve months, because we have a legitimate interest in knowing what we said to whom (article 6(1)(f)). If it leads to work together, it becomes part of our client records instead. We use no booking tool today. If we add one, this statement names it first.
Server logs
This site runs on a server we rent from Hostinger, in its data centre in Frankfurt, Germany. Our web server keeps no log of visits: it stores no IP address, no page or file asked for, and no browser details. Your IP address does reach the server, because no website can send you a page without it; we use it only to send the page back. Hostinger, which runs the network in front of the server, also sees it to protect the server against attacks, under our processing agreement. Sending you the page you asked for, and protecting the server, is our legitimate interest (the GDPR, article 6(1)(f)).
Nothing else
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from other companies’ servers. Visiting it leaves nothing on your device, so there is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Who else sees it.
Nobody buys your details from us, and we give them to nobody for their own use. Two companies process them on our behalf, each under a processing agreement:
- Hostinger, from which we rent the server that runs this site, in its data centre in Frankfurt, Germany.
- Google, whose Google Workspace runs our mailbox, so every email you send us is stored there, and the spreadsheet where we keep our contacts.
We use no form service, no newsletter tool and no booking tool today. If we add one, this statement names it first. We hand details to an authority only when the law obliges us to.
Outside the EU.
This site runs in Germany, in the European Union. Our mailbox and contact list sit with Google. Google, and the sub-processors Hostinger uses, may handle some data in the United States or elsewhere. Where that happens, the safeguards the GDPR requires are in place: the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Google LLC is certified, and the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses (the GDPR, articles 45 and 46). Email us for a copy of the clauses.
How long we keep it.
Only as long as the purpose needs, which is the rule the GDPR sets (article 5(1)(e)):
- A sample report request: six months after we send the report. Google then removes it from its own systems within 180 days.
- Emails and calls that do not lead to work together: twelve months after our last exchange. Google then removes them from its own systems within 180 days.
- Server logs: none. Our web server keeps no log of visits.
- If you become a client: the details on quotes, contracts and invoices are part of our business records, which Dutch law obliges us to keep for seven years (the Algemene wet inzake rijksbelastingen, article 52; the Burgerlijk Wetboek, book 3, article 15i, with book 2, article 10). That is the only legal minimum that applies to us.
Whether you have to give us anything.
No. Nothing on this site asks for details you must give. Without a name and an email address we cannot send you the report or answer you, and that is the only consequence.
Your rights.
You can ask to see the details we hold about you, to correct them, to have them deleted, to limit how we use them, to object to their use, and to receive them in a form you can take elsewhere (the GDPR, articles 15 to 22). Email hello@tegron.eu and you have an answer within a month, usually much sooner.
You can also complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
We make no automated decisions about you, and we build no profiles.
